Unsupported Request errors

We have had some reports today of users getting Unsupported Request errors when trying to access library resources.

We are still trying to work out what is causing this problem - if it happens to you, please could you tell us at library.technical@beds.ac.uk:

  • what exactly were you trying to access? which ebook, journal article or database was it?
  • what browser were you using? and have you updated it recently?
In the meantime our best advice is to switch to a different browser and try again.

Problem accessing some articles using Access Full Text button from DISCOVER/Full Text Finder button in other databases

We are having issues this afternoon with accessing the full text of articles via either the Access Full Text button in DISCOVER or the Full Text Finder button in other databases.

,

The problem seems to be intermittent, and other universities have reported it too.

If you get this message, we suggest either you try again later, or if it is urgent, take a copy of the article information and try to navigate to the article by using the E-journal finder function in DISCOVER

You can search by journal title and then browse by year and issue to find the article.

BREO link to DISCOVER fixed

The link out from BREO to DISCOVER is now fixed.

Please let us know if you have any further problems.

Link from BREO to DISCOVER is wrong

The link from BREO to DISCOVER is pointing to the wrong place today. If you find yourself in DISCOVER with a URL that looks like this

then the link was incorrect. You will still be able to search DISCOVER, but will not be able to access your folders. To do that you need to follow this link.

We have asked for this problem to be fixed as soon as possible.
