Credo Reference platform changes coming in July

Credo Reference are going to be updating their platform on 12th July 2018. They are not expecting any downtime. There is more information about the changes here.

Access to journals from IEEE, Springer, Emerald, Taylor & Francis and Wiley - no more proxy errors

We're glad to say we have a solution to the "proxy error" problems affecting ejournal content from IEEE, Springer, Emerald, Taylor & Francis and Wiley over the last few weeks.

You should no longer get an error message when trying to access articles from these publishers, whether via DISCOVER or via the library catalogue.

If you do get any further errors, please let us know.

RefWorks downtime Saturday June 30th/Sunday July 1st

RefWorks (both the legacy and new versions) will be unavailable for around two hours from midnight on Saturday June 30th for maintenance. This may also affect your use of Write-n-Cite during this period.

SAGE journals downtime

SAGE journals appear to be having technical issues at the moment. This affects any ejournal with journals.sagepub.com in the URL.

Library Management System available again

The Library Management System is now available again, including library catalogue, self-service units and laptop loans.

If you notice any problems, please let us know

Library Management System downtime Monday 25th June 2018 8am-2pm

The Library Management System (Sierra) will be unavailable between 8am and 2pm on Monday 25^th June 2018  so a software upgrade can be completed.

The following products won't be available during this time:

Library catalogue

Self-service units

Laptop loans

Telephone renewals

Any URL including 0-....brum.beds.ac.uk

Access to the majority of ejournals, databases, ebooks will still be available via DISCOVER 

or via this link.

VLE books problem fixed
