JSTOR - UK Access Management Federation access restored

The problem accessing JSTOR via the UK Access Management Federation has now been solved.

The problem accessing EBSCO databases and DISCOVER via the UK Access Management Federation is still ongoing, however.

DISCOVER and other EBSCO databases via UK Acess Management Federation

There is a problem with accessing DISCOVER and all EBSCO databases via the UK Access Management Federation link. This will only affect accessing databases via the UK access management federation link from the library catalogue or when using the DISCOVER search box on LRWeb from off-campus.

If you are off-campus, you can access DISCOVER this way to avoid the problem.

Lawtel - access restored

We're pleased to be able to report that our access to Lawtel has been restored. However, do let us know if there are any further problems.

JSTOR problem

We're getting some reports off problems logging into JSTOR from off-campus, with users getting an error message like this:

It appears that your institution does not allow you off–campus access due to your status.
Please contact your local librarian for more information.

At the moment we think this is confined to the UK Access Management Federation route, so please try the alternative route.

Please let us know if you're continuing to have problems.

Jisc Historic Books and Jisc Journal Archives - access problems

We have been notified of possible login problems affecting Jisc Historic Books and Jisc Journal Archives. 

Jisc are working urgently to fix the problem.

 

Lawtel problem

Apologies for the lack of access to Lawtel - we are pursuing this urgently with our supplier,

Dawsonera ebooks - downtime this Saturday

We've been warned of some downtime for Dawsonera ebooks this Saturday, 5th April. Ebooks will be unavailable from 7am to 9am while the system is upgraded.

We are also expecting downtime on Saturday 12th April, between 7am and 10am.
