Scopus problems

 

We have had a number of users reporting issues with access to Scopus recently and we have been liaising with their support staff to try to resolve them. We have not yet got to the bottom of the problem but we think we have a way to access  Scopus that is more reliable than following our usual links.

Go directly to https://www.scopus.com

If you are on campus you should get access automatically.

If you are off campus it will look like this:

Look for the icon that looks like a temple (this means Institution login). Ignore the Sign in button.

The click Check access.

This brings up a box where you can search for University of Bedfordshire:

It suggests you can put your email address in this box – don’t. Just put “Bedfordshire”.

Click Access through your organization and login with your usual UoB account, if it asks you to. If you have recently logged into another system, you may not need to.

Hopefully you will now be logged in and good to go!

 

Problems accessing content from DISCOVER - resolved

Problems accessing content from DISCOVER

We are having some issues this morning with access to content from DISCOVER, particularly from Publications finder (where you search for journal titles), and with linking to articles that don't sit within the EBSCOhost platform. We have logged this with EBSCO and hope it will be fixed soon. If you are really for the content right now, copy the article/journal title and search for it on the open web, then you may need to navigate through the publishers' login options to get access to it (look for Institutional login option, then search for University of Bedfordshire).

WARC login problems

We are currently seeing a problem trying to login to WARC (World Advertising Research Center). This has been reported and we are awaiting a solution.
