Bob (Box of Broadcasts)
After a successful trial last year, the library has subscribed to BoB (Box of Broadcasts) and it is now fully available.
BoB is an on-demand streaming platform for film, television and radio resources. It gives access to an archive of over 3 million programmes, dating back to the 1950s and offers recordings of 75 free-to-air channels.
BoB automatically records and preserves broadcasts from all major UK free-to-air channels, including BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 and news content from BBC News, Sky News and Al Jazeera, making it the most comprehensive audiovisual resource available.
How to access?
You can access BoB via DISCOVER or directly at https://learningonscreen.ac.uk/ondemand
Click sign in, find the University of Bedfordshire from the drop down menu and click go. When prompted, login with your usual university username and password.
It is fully accessible to staff and students in the UK.
How to use?
BoB have created lots of guides on finding, viewing and sharing content:
How To Use BoB · Learning on Screen.
You can add a BoB programme to your BREO unit, create clips and playlists.
