Links from DISCOVER/Full text finder - problem fixed

The problem we were having this morning with some of the links from DISCOVER not working is now fixed.

Some links to from DISCOVER to full text not working

We've discovered a problem with some of the links to full text coming from DISCOVER this morning.

















We have notified our supplier and hope to have this resolved soon. You may also see the same error in other databases using the Full Text Finder link.


DISCOVER/EBSCOhost folders maintenance 27th December

EBSCO have warned us they will be performing scheduled maintenance to EBSCOhost folders on 27th December 10am-12 noon. You may notice interruptions or slowness using your personal account and folders during this time, both in DISCOVER and in EBSCOhost databases.

UK Access Management Federation resources restored

It looks like access to our UK Access Management Federation resources (including ebooks, RefWorks and Reading lists) is back to normal. If you do continue to have problems, please let us know.

Login problems

An IT upgrade has cause unexpected problems and we have lost access to many resources, including anything using UK Access Management Federation (ebooks, RefWorks, Reading lists, among others). Room bookings and MyPC are also affected. This is being worked on urgently and we expect it to be fixed in approx 30 minutes.

Dawsonera ebooks - downloading via Digital Editions needs latest version

We've had this message from the Dawsonera team:

We would like to advise all dawsonera users that it is our immediate recommendation to ensure that all instances of Digital Editions (desktop & mobile applications) are running version 4.5.x and that the latest version of the software should always be upgraded as soon as it becomes available.

On the 19th December 2018 we will be undertaking modifications and security enhancements to dawsonera that might cause issues when trying to open ebooks in older versions of Digital Editions. We therefore ask you to check that you are running Digital Editions 4.5.x and to upgrade the software if you are running an older version to ensure the best user experience possible.

This only refers to downloading the ebook to your device, not to reading it online, and only when selecting Adobe Digital Editions under Select Reader.
