JSTOR access problems

There are currently problems accessing JSTOR via UK Access Management Federation, with users getting error messages saying they are not granted access.

We have contacted JSTOR support, who are trying to solve this problem.

You can also log in using another method into JSTOR, using the link: http://0-www.jstor.org.brum.beds.ac.uk/ and your student number/UoB password. (Members of staff will need to use their barcode as their username, which starts with an x).

This alternative method works with Firefox and Microsoft Edge browsers, but may not work if you are using a Chrome browser.

JSTOR login problems

JSTOR have reported intermittent site problems today, this may affect you accessing any ejournal with jstor.org in the URL.

JSTOR - UK Access Management Federation access restored

The problem accessing JSTOR via the UK Access Management Federation has now been solved.

The problem accessing EBSCO databases and DISCOVER via the UK Access Management Federation is still ongoing, however.

We're getting some reports off problems logging into JSTOR from off-campus, with users getting an error message like this:

It appears that your institution does not allow you off–campus access due to your status.
Please contact your local librarian for more information.

At the moment we think this is confined to the UK Access Management Federation route, so please try the alternative route.
