Latest update to the Web of Science platform Sunday, March 25th 11am-11pm

Web of Science is being upgraded 25th March. Access may be intermittent from 11am to 11pm

Improvements to expect:

Easier Search Analysis through Visualization

In a continued effort to improve user experience, we have revamped the Analyze Results feature across the Web of Science platform, adding dramatically improved visualization and navigation.  This makes it much easier for users of all experience levels to interact with a more engaging view of the data.
  • Easily analyze large sets of search results
  • See visual summaries of the underlying data
  • Change which field you want to analyze with one click!
  • Change the visualization format
Download your complete analysis - up to 200k lines!

More flexibility for Cited Reference Searching

Uncover the influence and trace the impact of any document that has ever been cited with a Cited Reference Search—one of the most powerful tools in the Web of Science.  Now with new enhancements for sorting and exporting the cited reference search table, you can easily identify the cited reference you are looking for from amongst the over 1.7+ billion cited reference links in the Web of Science.

Searching for authors is more efficient through improved author disambiguation

Improvements to the author name disambiguation algorithm used in the Web of Science Core Collection now makes it possible to be more confident that when you search for a researcher you can find all of their work, even when you are searching for an author with a common name or one who has published with several different affiliations.
