Repository download and Westlaw access problems fixed

The recent problems with downloading articles from the UoB repository and with accessing Westlaw off-campus have both now been fixed and these services are working normally.

University of Bedfordshire Repository download problems

We are currently having problems with the repository, which is not allowing downloads of any full-text files held on it (articles, reports, theses etc). We have reported these problems to our repository host and hope the issue will be resolved quickly.

Single Sign-On (SSO) and possible disruption to services

ICT are implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) for a number of University Services at the end of the month.

What is SSO?

Single sign-on (SSO) allows a user to sign on with university password to gain access to multiple applications and services without the necessity to logon to each system or service individually.

When will this be?

27th July and 30th July - 3rd August

Why are we doing this?

This is in response to feedback received from Students and to improve student experience.

What will be affected?

Whilst SSO is being implemented and authentication is being switched to SSO, access to these following services may be intermittent.

·         Novell (Local PC Logon)

·         Blackboard/BREO

·         GSuite/GoogleMail

·         PebblePad

·         SiD Online

·         Library Systems – (Discover, Catalogue, e-Books, e-journals, book renewals, Repository, reading lists)

·         Webprint

·         MyPC (Book a PC)

·         Refworks (old and new)

·         Office365

·         Staff Website (In.beds)

UoB Repository is back up now, let us know if you have any problems with it.

University of Bedfordshire Repository down

UoB Repository is down at the moment as our host is having server issues. We hope it will be back up soon.

University of Bedfordshire Repository - downtime Saturday 29th March (tomorrow)

We've been warned of planned maintenance to the University of Bedfordshire Repository for a period of 15 minutes between 9am and 12noon on Saturday 29th March.

University of Bedfordshire Repository - downtime Saturday 1st March

University of Bedfordshire Repository will experience some downtime on Saturday 1st March, between 8am and 11am.

UoB Repository downtime - Thursday 6th Feb 9am for 10 minutes

The University of Bedfordshire Repository will be down for approximately 10 minutes at 9am on Thursday 6th February.

Repository and BioMed Central journals downtime, Saturday 11th January

We've been warned of downtime to our Repository on Saturday 11th January, while our supplier migrates data to a new data-centre. The Repository may be offline for up to 4 hours during the day.

The disruption will also affect Open Access journals provided by BioMed Central and Springer Open (but other Springer journals will not be affected).
