ProQuest maintenance rescheduled

The planned downtime for ProQuest databases on 29th July has now been postponed. ProQuest resources (including British Nursing Database, ASSIA, and RefWorks).will be available as normal.

Problem with BREO access to reading lists

The links from BREO to online reading lists are currently not working correctly. We are working on the problem, but until then, you can use the direct link to the reading lists and then search for your unit or course.

ProQuest databases and RefWorks restored

Access to ProQuest databases including British Nursing Database and ASSIA is now back to normal. RefWorks should also be working correctly.

Please let us know if you continue to have any problems.

ProQuest have issued an apology and explanation, if you're really interested!

ICT System work 7th August 2017 : student email and ebooks/RefWorks/other UK Access Management Federation services

We've been warned of system work planned for 7th August 2017:

Student email (@study.beds.ac.uk addresses)
Logins will be at risk between 10:00 and 18:00. This means that there may be interruptions to the service during this period while the work is carried out.

UK Access Management Federation services (including ebooks via Dawsonera and VLEbooks, RefWorks, login to Readinglists, and other resources via UK Access Management Federation) 
Services are not expected to be interrupted but users may be presented with an insecure certificate message and will need to accept to proceed

ProQuest resources unavailable

We've discovered that ProQuest are having problems today and all ProQuest databases including British Nursing Database and ASSIA are currently unavailable. RefWorks is also affected.

We will update you as soon as we know the problem is fixed.

Dawsonera ebooks - downtime Thursday 20th July 00:00–04:00 BST

Thursday 20th July, dawsonera will be offline between 00:00–04:00 BST for scheduled maintenance, designed to achieve a more streamlined and efficient process for downloading ebooks. 


Hopefully this won't affect too many people!

Printing at risk 4pm to 6pm

We've been warned by ICT that the servers will be restarted this afternoon, printing may be unavailable for a few minutes during this period.

We've been warned of a maintenance window for all ProQuest products, 29 July 20:00 to 30 July 05:00. During this time access will be redirected to a webpage stating the planned maintenance times. All databases on the search.proquest.com platform will be affected (including British Nursing Database and ASSIA), as will RefWorks.
