Proxy error problems (particularly with Taylor & Francis and Emerald journals)

We have a known problem with error messages like this appearing when trying to access Taylor & Francis and Emerald journals, among others:

We are working to minimise the problem but in the meantime if you come across this error there are a few things you can do.

Check the library catalogue for the journal title (not the article title), as will put up alternative links wherever possible. Links with "via UK Access Management Federation" in the description are not affected by the problem, and neither are links specifically for On-campus use.
